Race 3 was on Sunday, March 8, 2015, the track was wet and the rain continued through out the entire race.
#58 Glenn Nixon was yet again involved in a fierce battle for the 1st place but finished in 3rd after a pit lane drive-through penalty removed him from the lead. #59 Wei Lu incidentally crossed the finish line in 6th place one more time, highlighting that consistency is still a thing in racing. #57 Andrei Kisel was yet again spun by a competitor while running in 4th place at the exactly the same spot as in the first race, but unfortunately this time the incident happened on the last lap and the car damage was so severe that Kisel only managed to crawl to the finish line in 9th place, virtually on 3 wheels.
Race 1 and Race 2 both took place on Saturday, March 7, 2015, at Circuit Of The Americas
Race 1 saw #58 Glenn Nixon starting from the back of the field after his 2nd place qualification effort was disallowed due to a technical infraction. Glenn zoomed from the back eventually finishing in an amazing second place having gained 18 positions during the race, this feat has earned him the VP Racing Fuels Hard Charger award. #57 Andrei Kisel was sent back 5 positions by a surprise hit from a competitor mid-race, dropping Andrei from 4th to 10th, nevertheless he was able to recover and charged into the 4th place. #59 Wei Lu crossed the finish line in impressive 6th place in his first ever Pirelli World Challenge start.
Race 2 was different story, this time it was #57 Kisel who started from the last position on the grid. Andrei was able to recover to a 4th place, and just as in the first race - the deciding pass for the fourth position was made on the very last lap. #58 Glenn Nixon had to settle for an uneasy second place despite his intense effort against the leading competitor in a more powerful vehicle. #59 Wei Lu proved that his result in race 1 was not a fluke as he used his considerable race-craft to defend against half dozen cars immediately on his bumper crossing the finish line in the 6th place and earning the Optima Battery Best Standing Start award.

Racing.ca team hits the track early in the morning, making the moves on the cars above their class, Andrei and Wei make for a fun tag team. Quick change of tires and the team is back on-track for the qualification run. After a dinner of steaks and orange juice the team holds its first ever e-sprint event through the friendly lanes of a neighbourhood Walmart.

It was windy and cold for our first test day at COTA. Morning practice tires were a split decision, with Nixon and Kisel heading out on slicks and sliding all over, while Wei Lu opted-in for rains. The cold temperature persisted through-out the day, but the track was dry and slicks were the choice of everybody for the second session in the afternoon. Finishing off the day at BJ’s with a pint of Committed Double IPA some of the team members were unable to walk for the obligatory late-night Walmart raid.

Because there is no traffic in Austin, TX and you can find a truck wash literally on every corner, and just to add a bit of spice to our journey, we decided to wash our truck at the hotel's parking lot; thankfully the weather was permitting with absolutely clear sky and summer-like temperatures.
Unloading was a breeze, it is nice to know that there will be absolutely no wind when you are putting up 20ft tents and leaving them overnight you know.

Quietly zooming through a tiny RV park at night in our compact size vehicle to obtaining water and deposit our deposits.
After six days of trucking finally getting to Austin, TX. It was good to reunite with other team members who where not so lucky and had to fly-in instead of motorhoming.

More trucking, dumping our oil not to far from the oil fields, crossing Tejon Pass. Proficient parking at Mc Donald's to go to In-and-Out Burger. Participating in international skateboard contest. Passing sustainable fire-wood carriers and testing BBQ temperature bare-handed.
