Purchased by the last owner in 2010 it sat in his garage until this time last June when I bought it from him. The car was regularly started but not driven over the last six years and always stored indoors. I had the intention of completing the project for ChumpCar or CS3 but had two co-drivers unfortunately bail so I’m turning my attention back to my RX7. There is 150K on the chassis but you’d never know it, rockers and floors are near spotless. Inspection at our shop revealed no evidence of previous damage.
The doors are gutted for weight savings and to allow for the cage intrusion. When this was done it did create a few (3-4 per side) minor pops in the door skin, barely noticeable unless you look for it. The interior is largely removed and all sound deadening material gone. A much sought after hardtop (good condition and expensive if bought alone) with fab'd mounting brackets for road racing is included. The car sits on a set of Enkei RPF1’s (excellent condition, 15”) with Toyo R888’s (can’t recall condition but believe there are 2-3 lapping days left on them). Suspension is stock, as are brakes.
Also includes new(er?) OMP FIA rated halo seat that may in fact be brand new with alloy OMP brackets to mount to floor. We will also include a NB specific racing seat mount which is the lowest you can purchase, a $250 value, received but never installed. Factory service manuals, Chilton, and Haynes too I believe. New steering wheel quick release, Longacre kill switch with alternator protection, and a used but in good condition spare transmission. A new MiataCage.com NB rollcage was meticulously welded in this September. The first choice of most spec Miata builders the cage's mounting plates are laser cut and fit like a glove, Included $350 in options/upgrades when ordered including 1.5” upgrade, 1” gussets, and taco gussets, and NEW Miatacage.com window net mounting kit (weld-in) including fresh SFI mesh window net.
The car is currently drivable, bring your trailer load it up. This is an excellent value for the money with VERY little left to make it track worthy and a good spares package (tranny, rear bumper skin, one fender, etc.) included. Leaves you options on how to upgrade the suspension and add a LSD and you're off to the races.
